Amelia graduated with a BSc (Hons) in psychology in 2010 at the university of East Anglia, before gaining a role as a psychological assistant at HMP Blundeston. Whilst working for the service Amelia went on to complete an MSc in Forensic Psychology at Coventry University, followed by a PgD Forensic Psychologist Practitioner Diploma with Cardiff University.
Amelia worked for HMPPS for ten years both in delivery of offending behaviour programmes and as a psychologist. Amelia has extensive experience of both delivery and management of interventions, carrying out risk and need assessments and providing consultancy. Amelia has worked with a wide range of service users including, sexual offending, violent offending and intimate partner violence and has experience in offering one-one interventions to offenders with complex presentations. Amelia is also currently increasing her clinical skills with training in relationship counselling and EMDR.
