From 2005 to 2009 Angela began learning about psychology in her role as an Assistant to a Clinical Psychologist. This is where she developed an interest in forensic and developmental psychology.
Angela graduated with a BSc Hons in Psychology in 2008 and with a MSc in Forensic Psychology in 2009 from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Angela began working for the Scottish Prison Service in 2009. She is involved in developing and delivering therapeutic interventions, risk management and assessment, national training and clinical supervision. This work allows her to gain experience across diverse forensic populations including men, women and young people with a range of offending behaviour.
From 2010 to 2014, Angela was employed as a Module Tutor at the University of Abertay Dundee. In this role she engaged in teaching 2nd and 4th year undergraduate students leading the Advanced Forensic Psychology module, accredited by the BPS.
Angela also has an interest in the area of therapy and is currently working towards becoming a BACP qualified and accredited psychotherapist.
