Fiona studied Psychology at The University of Warwick, attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Psychology in 2000. She then attained her Master of Science Degree in Forensic Psychology from The University of Surrey in 2001. Fiona commenced her career working with offenders soon afterwards, within Her Majesty's Prison Service, where she remained for over six years. During this time, Fiona gained considerable experience assessing and treating both long term high risk offenders, and those nearing their release. In addition, Fiona held some key management positions, overseeing Offender Management Units, Category A and Parole Panel reporting, Offending Behaviour Programme delivery and general psychological services.
After leaving Her Majesty's Prison Service, Fiona left the UK to work with The Bermuda Department of Corrections where she held a key position in the provision of psychological and offender assessment services. She provided comprehensive psychological assessment to various organisations in Bermuda, including the Parole Board, Hospitals Board, Probation Services and Courts of Bermuda. Fiona worked with adult male and female offenders, as well as juvenile male and female offenders during her four year period with the organisation. She used her experience to implement improved assessment and reporting practices,and develop substance use treatment and sexual offending programmes. Fiona enjoyed the opportunity to work with offenders of different cultures and ethnicities during her time in Bermuda.
Fiona joined PSUK Ltd in 2012. She is an experienced Chartered Forensic Psychologist and HCPC Registered Psychologist. She has experience of working with offenders from a wide range of offending and demographic backgrounds, and is experienced in the use of many psychological assessment tools. She has extensive experience of assessing both risk and responsivity issues and has several years of providing treatment to offenders in both individual and group format.
