Jenny is an experienced Forensic Psychologist, with particular expertise in working with personality difficulties and sexual offending. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), chartered with the British Psychological Society and a full member of the Division of Forensic Psychology.
Jenny first studied at Loughborough University where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology. She then went on to gain a Master of Science degree in Investigative Psychology before achieving a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology at the University of Nottingham. In addition to her work for Psychological Services UK Limited, Jenny currently works in a large NHS forensic mental health service and is a Lecturer at Queen Mary University London on their Forensic Mental Health MSc programme.
Jenny has experience working within health and probation settings in both the NHS and the private sector. She has worked across the care pathway within the Criminal Justice System from court diversion services to inpatient services and within the community. Her training and experience includes comprehensive assessment, formulation and treatment for individuals with a range of offence histories. Jenny is trained in a number of specialist assessments for evaluating cognitive abilities, personality and risk. She is also experienced in the facilitation of a number of group and individual interventions for mental health difficulties and offending behaviours.
Jenny has a special interest in violence risk assessment and risk formulation, a topic which she has completed a number of research projects on and presented these at international conferences. She continues to grow her research portfolio and publish in this area.
