Sanjit completed her Doctorate in Forensic Psychology at the Centre for Criminological and Forensic Psychology, University of Birmingham in 2009 following attainment of a Bachelor of Advanced Sciences (Psychology) at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is a Chartered member with the Forensic Division of the British Psychological Society; registered with the Health Professionals Council and a member of NOTA. Sanjit has worked within NHS services, providing assessment services to families involved with social services, has worked on various issues with young offenders, and has provided psychological services within a medium secure forensic setting for adult males. Her training and experience includes comprehensive assessment and treatment alongside the use of psychological tools and formulation techniques.
In addition to her Associate work with Psychological Services UK Limited, Sanjit currently provides assessment, training, consultation, supervision and therapy services for children and young people who sexually harm, both within community and residential settings. She is Clinical Lead of a Therapeutic Community working with boys who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour. She also conducts care proceeding assessments and is a visiting lecturer at a local University. She has previously worked on a Child Protection Helpline, primarily working with adult sex offenders, has provided volunteer telephone support for people with mental health difficulties, and worked in both crisis and long term psychological support for victims of sexual assault.
