Seona studied Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire achieving a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Psychology in 2000, before achieving a Master of Science Degree in Forensic Psychology in 2004 at Coventry University.
Seona has extensive experience in the clinical oversight of offending behaviour programmes, specifically the Sex Offender Treatment Programme and group interventions designed to target domestic violence. Spending fourteen years working in the field of Psychology in Her Majesty’s Prison Service she has specialist knowledge in the assessment and treatment of sexual and violent offenders. Seona also has a wealth of experience of developing and delivering individual interventions to prisoners who present with complex needs, who have a diagnosis of personality disorder and who present as being at a high risk of engaging in custodial violence. Seona has previously worked for the NHS as a Forensic Psychologist delivering treatment to women within a personality disorder service.
